CARING FOR YOUR MAT

Our tips for keeping your muk mat in tip top shape!

Shake the dirt out by holding the corners (NOT the velcro straps)
Rinse or wash with warm soapy water (do not use bleach)
Hang to dry

HEAT DAMAGE RISK: As with any plastic material, artificial turf can be damaged by intense heat such as that caused by refracted light from materials such as glass, aluminium checker plate step sides and stainless steel. This is rare, but please take care to avoid.

Read more on our blog here.

TRIP OR SLIP HAZARD: All mats and floor rugs can have the opportunity to be a trip or slip hazard. muk mat blades are made from plastic which have the potential to be slippery, especially when wet. Please take care and ensure you minimise the risk of falls with our step mats and covers by securely fastening your mat and or using the provided non-slip mesh underneath. When using RV stairs, risks of falls or slips can be reduced by ascending and descending slowly and holding onto a steady object.

DYE LEACHING RISK: Although colourfast, contact with some cleaners may lead to dye leaching. Ensure your muk mat is dry or placed in dry conditions to avoid transfer to other materials, including vinyl flooring.

Step mat

Fits perfectly

Love the Muk Mat

So happy with my Muk Mat for in the step well of caravan. Catching all the bits before they get inside. Shake and done love it

Large muk mat

Purchased mats for our caravan and very happy with them, so purchased the extra large mat for our house to help reduce dirt and grass being brought indoors.

Best Xmas present

I have the whole set of muk mats and couldnt be happier. they are amazing fitted perfectly and also look really nice.

LOVE IT!!

I bought the step mat just to go inside my campervan. I am SO pleased with it and it feels so good under my feet. I know they're a bit pricey but it's well worth it and the quality is amazing!
I now need a sign,
'DO NOT TOUCH MY MUK MAT"

Best thing ever!

This really is the best van mat we have ever had. The size is perfect. The only negative (but that is probably just me) is the POS mat may be a problem if left on whilst driving. I would prefer to leave it on, but then would perhaps need a horizontal velcro strap fitted as well.

Hi Liz, thank you for your wonderful review! We suggest that the step mats do not get left on while travelling. Pack down time is the perfect opportunity to remove your mats, shake them out and clean them before stowing away for travel. This will ensure your mat is looking and performing it's best when you pull it out at the next stop! Thanks again for showing us some love!

Muk mats

Super happy with the mats we ordered. They were used this weekend and I had nothing to vacuum up on the floor. What a pleasure . All we need now is the extra large one for outside . Love them

Muk Mat

Shocked they don’t fit the floor well at the door far too small !Sadly will be returning to place of purchase .

Hi Kerrie. Thank you for your feedback. We have emailed you and are more than happy to help you find a step mat that fits. We have many to choose from, as well as a custom service if you need a specific size that we don't offer in our standard range :)

Awesome product, fitted my van perfectly.

Best ever camping mats. Should have bought them ages ago. D

Glad you loved the other one! We're sorry to hear that this mat doesn't fit but we are more than happy to organise an exchange for you. We've sent you an email :)

Great product

Great product. Good fit on the van steps.

Another Great product

They look good quality. The one that fits into the curved step Dosnt fit that well. The corner cuts are nowhere near the same as the van step.

Best Buy

They are the best mats I have ever tried and worth the money excellent service

Nothing better

Have had a large door mat for years. Have them at home too, so buying this step mat for our new van was a no brainer. Don't mess with the cheaper copies, stick with the original and the best.

How is it different to fake grass?

The difference is in the quality. muk mats use a premium 40mm, high density, UV protected synthetic grass for the perfect balance of performance and comfort. Refined over 10+ years of testing and real-world use.

muk mats also have a durable two-layer backing and a waterproof web binding to prevent any fraying. Plus, all ground mats come with a velcro strap to secure them in transit and a handy storage bag.

How do I clean them?

Most of the time it will just need a shake and a brush down with your hand.

For long-term maintenance, you can simply wash your muk mat with water using a hose. This is ideal if you just want to remove any excess mud and dirt.

Leave it in the sun to dry and shake out any excess grit.

Do they come with a warranty?

muk mats proudly come with a 2 year manufacturer warranty from date of purchase.

Can they get wet?

Yes! muk mats are designed for the great outdoors and perfect for use in high traffic areas such as doorways, caravan steps, and outside tents.

Made from water resistant materials, muk mats dry fast and can be shaken and wiped down if moving in a hurry.
