The difference is in the quality. muk mats use top quality 40mm blade, UV protected, synthetic grass. Very importantly, muk mats have a backing that consists of 2 separate layers. This ensures the fibres will not detach from the backing and are able to recover from heavy foot traffic.Â
muk mats also have a waterproof web binding to prevent fraying, a velcro strap to secure them and a storage bag (excluding caravan steps) for travel and storage.

No, the caravan step mat does not come with a Velcro strap. The strap is used on the larger mats to secure them when rolled.
The only exception is the pull-out step mat which has 2 Velcro straps used to secure it to the step.
Yes! Most of the time it will just need a shake and a brush down with your hand. For long-term maintenance, you can simply wash your muk mat with water using a hose.
