Orders are processed promptly upon receipt of full payment. Your order will typically be dispatched from our warehouse within 1-2 business days, with the exception of sale periods where there may be delays.

Orders are delivered by Australia Post who advise approximately 6 business days for interstate delivery. You will be emailed your tracking number once the shipping label is processed, which will allow you to track your order.

You can return your muk mat if you’ve selected the incorrect size or colour.

Our returns process is simple:

1. Contact our team at hello@mukmat.com with details of your intended return
2. Purchase the correct mat on our website
3. Send the incorrect mat to: muk mat HQ, 1/1–9 Ourimbah Road, Tweed Heads NSW 2485

Once we receive the returned mat, we will process your refund via the original payment method.

We offer a wide range of step sizes to fit most caravans but we strongly recommend you measure your step to ensure the best fit. Please visit our size chart page for a full list of all available sizes.

Please note that internal step mats (that go inside the caravan footwell) come in multiple shapes and sizes. Footwells can vary between caravan make, model, year and your chosen layout.

Pull-out steps (one size fits most) and portable steps (2-3 common sizes) are much more standardised, but we still recommend measuring to be sure.

Our pull-put step mats and portable step mats both feature adjustable velcro straps that securely fasten to your caravan or portable step.

Our ground mats all come with a single velcro strap to secure them when rolled.

Please note that our inner steps (that sit inside the footwell of your caravan) or square mats do not come with velcro straps.

Our muk mats are becoming increasingly popular to use as a pet mat. Dogs and cats love to rest and sleep on them. They are great to reduce the muk coming inside off their paws. They are also great to use in the car for your pet to sit on.

Muk mats are not designed as toilet mats for your pets and will start to smell very quickly. If your pet is using your mat in this way, please refer to the cleaning and care instructions for your mat and maintain this on a regular as needs basis.

For everyday cleaning, simply shake your muk mat and brush away any loose dirt or debris with your hand. To protect the binding, avoid shaking the mat by the velcro strap.

For a more thorough clean, rinse your muk mat with a garden hose to remove mud, dust and other build-up. If needed, use a low-suds, pH-neutral detergent or a cleaner specifically formulated for artificial turf.

Allow the mat to air dry in the sun and always ensure your muk mat is completely dry before storing it or placing it on or against other surfaces, particularly vinyl flooring or other light-coloured materials.

muk mats are designed for outdoor use and can be left in the sun. However, like any product made from plastic, prolonged exposure to extreme heat can cause damage over time.

In rare cases, damage can also occur from refracted or reflected light. This can be caused by surfaces such as glass, aluminium checker plate, stainless steel, or other highly reflective materials that concentrate the sun's rays onto the mat.

To help protect your muk mat, avoid storing it in direct sunlight for extended periods when not in use, and keep it away from surfaces that may reflect or concentrate heat.

Please also note that objects left on your muk mat for extended periods in direct sunlight may become very hot and can leave permanent marks or indentations on the turf.

muk mats are designed to handle outdoor conditions and can be used in areas where they may be exposed to rain, moisture, and wet conditions.

Made from water-resistant materials, muk mats dry quickly. If your muk mat gets wet, simply shake off any excess water and allow it to air dry before storing or using it again.

muk mats have a polyurethane backing, which is designed to be gentle on most floor surfaces and is unlikely to leave marks under normal use.

However, we recommend ensuring your muk mat is clean and completely dry before placing it on indoor flooring. While the binding and velcro strap are colourfast under normal conditions, prolonged contact with moisture may increase the risk of colour transfer to some surfaces, including vinyl flooring. Keeping your muk mat dry when used or stored indoors will help prevent this.

Like all mats and floor rugs, muk mats can present a slip or trip hazard. The artificial turf blades may also become slippery when wet - after rain or on a dewy morning.

To help minimise the risk of slips and falls with step mats, always ensure you use the non-slip mesh provided.

When using muk mats on pull-out steps or portable steps, ensure that your velcro straps are attached securely and take extra care by maintaining a firm hold on a stable handrail or other secure support whenever possible.

On other smooth surfaces, such as indoor flooring, polished concrete, or smooth paving, your muk mat may slip during use.
