CARING FOR YOUR MAT

Our tips for keeping your muk mat in tip top shape!

Shake the dirt out by holding the corners (NOT the velcro straps)
Rinse or wash with warm soapy water (do not use bleach)
Hang to dry

HEAT DAMAGE RISK: As with any plastic material, artificial turf can be damaged by intense heat such as that caused by refracted light from materials such as glass, aluminium checker plate step sides and stainless steel. This is rare, but please take care to avoid.

TRIP OR SLIP HAZARD: All mats and floor rugs can have the opportunity to be a trip or slip hazard. muk mat blades are made from plastic which have the potential to be slippery, especially when wet. Please take care and ensure you minimise the risk of falls by securely fastening your mat and or using a non-slip mesh underneath. When using caravan stairs, risks of falls or slips can be reduced by ascending and descending slowly and holding onto a steady object.

DYE LEACHING RISK: Although colourfast, contact with some cleaners may lead to dye leaching. Ensure your muk mat is dry or placed in dry conditions to avoid transfer to other materials, including vinyl flooring.

Best thing ever!

This really is the best van mat we have ever had. The size is perfect. The only negative (but that is probably just me) is the POS mat may be a problem if left on whilst driving. I would prefer to leave it on, but then would perhaps need a horizontal velcro strap fitted as well.

Nothing better

Have had a large door mat for years. Have them at home too, so buying this step mat for our new van was a no brainer. Don't mess with the cheaper copies, stick with the original and the best.

Right size for step

New mat for new van

Spoiling ourselves with quality gear for our quality R2 van. The mat just did it maiden voyage. Not a single piece of dirt or grass got past the first step. My step is a little too small width wise but the mat still performs perfectly and is nice underfoot. Grey matches the original floor covering. I think I may get one for the supplied foldup short step to billet proof it. Why didn't I have one before?

How is it different to fake grass?

The difference is in the quality. muk mats use 40mm blade, UV protected, synthetic grass. Very importantly, muk mats have a backing that consists of 2 separate layers. This ensures the fibres will not detach from the backing and able to recover from foot traffic. muk mats also have a waterproof web binding to prevent fraying and a Velcro strap to secure them for travel and storage.

Do muk mats come with a warranty?

muk mats proudly come with a 2 year manufacturer warranty from date of purchase. This relates to product defaults only, not wear and tear or misuse.

How do I clean my mat?

Most of the time, all it needs is a quick shake and a brush down with your hand. For a deeper clean, just hose it off, let it dry in the sun, and give it another shake to clear out any leftover grit.

Can I leave my mat in the sun?

Yes. All muk mats are UV protected and built for outdoor use. Just avoid placing them in direct, concentrated heat (like reflected sunlight off glass, checker plate, or stainless steel), as this can cause overheating and damage.
