Tip for choosing your size: We recommend sizing down if your mat will be located near the door (so the door can close easily). We also recommend placing non-slip matting under your step mats for extra security, which can be purchased here.

UV-protected synthetic grass made from recycled materials
Two-layer backing system ensures fibres will not detach, making it perfect for high-traffic areas

CARING FOR YOUR MAT

Our tips for keeping your muk mat in tip top shape!

Shake the dirt out by holding the corners (NOT the velcro straps)
Rinse or wash with warm soapy water (do not use bleach)
Hang to dry

HEAT DAMAGE RISK: As with any recycled plastic material, the artificial turf can be damaged by intense heat such as that caused by refracted light from materials such as glass, aluminium checker plate step sides and stainless steel. This is rare, but please take care to avoid.

To keep up with the rapid growth and the huge product demand for our muk mats, we have had to make the decision to cease our ONE OFF custom made muk mat service, due to the time and resources required to make them. If you are wanting MOQs greater than 30, please email hello@mukmat.com

The difference is in the quality. The best quality artificial grass, although perhaps requiring a larger initial investment, proves to be the most cost-effective in the long term. muk mats use top quality 40mm blade, UV protected, synthetic grass made from recycled materials. Very importantly, muk mats have a backing that consists of 2 separate layers. This ensures the fibres will not detach from the backing and able to recover from foot traffic. muk mats also have a waterproof web binding to prevent fraying and a Velcro strap to secure them for travel and storage. Finally, you are supporting a small local business by choosing muk mat.

Only the "pull-out step" mats feature the velco straps. All other caravan steps are strap free.

The striated groves on the backing mean the muk mat does not slip easily. If unsure, we recommend placing some non-slip matting underneath your muk mat.
